Lizzie started competing in triathlon at 10 years old, embracing the spirit of adaptive sports and the philosophy of 'disability not inability.' By her mid-twenties, she had already competed at the Ironman World Championships, tackling both full and middle distances. Their parents began participating in local races with Chris, which helped pave the way for a marathon in 2016. In 2025, Lizzie and Chris decided to form Team Stewart Racing, competing together as they build towards a full distance triathlon in 2026.
